Ohio State Racing Commission seeks state veterinarian

Columbus, OH — The Ohio State Racing Commission is seeking to contract a state veterinarian starting Aug. 1 for Test Barn duties at MGM Northfield Park harness track in Northfield, Ohio.

An Ohio veterinary license is required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the collection of post-race blood samples, supervising veterinary assistants that collect urine and ensuring that chain of custody procedures are followed.

Racing at Northfield is year round, four to five nights a week.
