Old-fashioned Halloween Open House at Museum

from the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame

Goshen, NY — Bring the kids to the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, located at 240 Main St., Goshen, N.Y., on Saturday (Oct. 27) from 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. for a fun-filled old-fashioned Halloween celebration with a walk through our spooky stable.

Participate in creepy crafts, play hauntingly fun games and enjoy sweet treats. Decorate a headless horseman, batty-witch or ghostly pumpkin to frighten off those Halloween spirits, create a flowing ghost decoration and make a bat-styled candy box filled with sweet treats. Pumpkins are limited and are first come, first served, so don’t be late.

The spooky Halloween adventure is topped off with a heart-pounding ride on our 3-D Harness Racing Simulator and refreshments for everyone. Our mascot, Hall of Fame Harry, will be here to pose for pictures with young gargoyles, ghosts, witches, pirates, super heroes and such. Children are encouraged to come in costumes of all kinds.

The first 40 children pay $5 and receive a pumpkin to decorate. Bring your own pumpkin and for $3 we’ll provide the fixins for some spooky pumpkin decorating. Parents are free. Reservations are not accepted.

Refreshments sponsored by ShopRite of Chester and Soons Orchard of New Hampton.

Pumpkins provided by Soons Orchard and Manza Farms of Montgomery.

The Museum is supported in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M.
