I hit the Pick 4 Saturday night. The $24.00 ticket paid $78.70. Meet record: 16 pick fours, 1 won, 15 lost, minus $199.80

Tonight’s tickets:

50-cent play: 1,4,5,8,10/1/2,4,5,7/8,9 = $20.00

Analysis:

Race 6: This seems like a very trot tough race. My top pick is Infiniti As; this trotter drops a notch off a good effort. But I’m using five horses here, 1,4,5,8,10.

Race 7: This is pretty wide open but I’m going to single Carrick, who came off a layoff with a strong win at The Meadows for top trainer Ron Burke. He had make breaks in his two prior starts over Northfield’s half-mile track but it looks like Burke has him going in the right direction now.

Race 8: This is a wide-open race. I’m using all four of my listed contenders, 2,4,5,7.

Race 9: Write Me A Song takes a key drop for Burke and may wire these, but I’m also using Odds On St Lucie, who is a solid mare that qualified back well after winning three of her last four starts.
