Pompano cancels Tuesday program; aiming for Sunday

Pompano Beach, FL — Due to the electrical malfunction resulting from Tropical Storm Eta, Pompano Park is forced to cancel the racing program for Tuesday (Nov. 10).

Director of Racing Gabe Prewitt said, “The extensive damage caused by the storm and subsequent electrical malfunction cannot be remedied for today. We have exhausted all options and we our confident our generators will be in place for our regularly scheduled Sunday racing program.”

There will be a double draw on Thursday for Sunday (Nov. 15) and Monday (Nov. 16) with all entries due by 9 a.m. on Thursday (Nov. 12).

Qualifying events are scheduled for Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. and any horsemen wishing to qualify a horse are advised to contact the racing office.
