Posts drawn for $159,000 Isle Pace Final

Pompano Beach, Florida – February 22, 2006 – Track record holder He Wants It All, who won last year’s final, drew post five and is the 6/5 favorite Saturday in the $159,000 final of the Isle of Capri Casinos Pacing Series at Pompano Park.

Hop Sing, the fastest and richest harness horse in North America this year, drew the rail post position and has been installed as the 8/5 second choice. The richest race to date in harness racing for 2006, the 8th annual Isle of Capri final will be the 8th race on the program with an estimated post time is 9:47.pm. There will be nine starters in the final.

Also on the card in the 6th race is the $82,600 final of the 5th annual Mack Lobell Trotting Series. Hellava Hush, who tied the all age track record for trotters in the opening round of the series with a 1:53.3 triumph, drew post three and is the 4/5 morning line favorite. Second choice at 3-1 is $563,000 winner Justice Hall, who drew post one and Dunkster is the third choice in the race from post seven at odds of 4-1.

In the $50,000 4th annual Red Bow Tie Invitational Pace for Florida-breds, Hearty Fellow drew post one. He won the event last year and is the 8/5 morning line favorite. Also entered is Swingin Glory in post six who won the race in 2004.

Flaming Vic ($85.60, $36.40, $8.20), the longest shot on the board at odds of 41-1, was second and then placed first in the 5th race trot at Pompano Park Wednesday. The victory keyed the 9-7-2 trifecta combination that paid $5,010.60. Evander Hollyfield ($10.00, $5.60) finished first but was placed second for interference against Flaming Vic in the stretch. S F Omega ($5.60) was third.

Driven to victory by Wally Hennessey in a lifetime mark of 1:59.1, Flaming Vic had collared Evander Hollyfield (Dein Spriggs) in mid stretch when the interference occurred as Evander Hollyfield won the race by a neck. A four-year-old gelding by Valley Victory, it was the second win this year for Flaming Vic, who is trained by Andre Brisson and owned by James Goodwin of East Orange, NJ.
