Precision Blue Chip scores again in $10,500 Open Handicap at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — The presence of a new shooter Sunday night (April 11) at Rosecroft proved to be no intimidation to the top horse at the Fort Washington oval. Precision Blue Chip and Russell Foster went wire-to-wire in 1:51.1, holding off Carlisimo and Starship to win his fifth of the year in eight starts in the $10,500 Open Handicap.

Carlisimo had been slugging it out at Yonkers with Potomac Pace champ Leonidas A, Pyro, and the only horse to beat Precision Blue Chip at Rosecroft this year, Keep On Rocking A. Still the public made the local champ the 1-1 favorite and he did not let down the wagering public.

Leaving from post seven, Foster cut fractions of :26, :55.1, and 1:23, and came home in :28.1, giving Precision Blue Chip his 19th career win and pushed his career earnings over $100,000. Courtney Brooks owns and trains the 6-year old son of Bettor’s Delight.

She had a double as her stable’s “other” horse, Redwood Again, also won Sunday night.

Foster, Jason Thompson, and Pat Berry had three wins on the card while Timmy Offutt won twice. Megan Foster had a training double.
