Quatrain Blue Chip tops Wednesday onGait auctions

Boca Raton, FL — If the spirited bidding on Wednesday’s (July 1) online auctions at onGait.com are any indication, the “State of the Sport” is strong.

Wednesday’s sales topper was Quatrain Blue Chip, who brought a winning bid of $46,000. Kevin McDermott will now train the Somebeachsomewhere 4-year-old gelding.

Happy Camper, a 2-year-old son of American Ideal, sold to Mike Favale of New York for $20,500. He was part of the second round of racehorses from the Barbara and James Boese Stable dispersal.

The Donato Hanover 5-year-old gelding Just Maybe The One sold to Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Adam Friedland for $13,600.

The week’s top seller was the 4-year-old pacing gelding Silas Seelster, who on Tuesday went to John Cummins of Kentucky for $89,600.

In addition, onGait.com is also preparing for its annual fall yearling sale with many large farms already committed.

Established in August of 2001, onGait.com comes off a record-breaking year with more than $15 million in sales of racehorses and breeding stock. As always, those without a computer can contact us by phone at 561.706.4839.
