Reminder to complete forms to establish mare residency in 2018

Schecnectady, NY — Breeders in New York State are reminded to complete the necessary paperwork to establish mare residency in 2018. The resulting foals from resident mares will be eligible to earn Breeders Awards based on their performance in the New York Sire Stakes Program as a 2- and 3-year-olds. At the conclusion of this year’s racing season, the Fund distributed a total of $1,000,000 in Breeders Awards.

Breeders must complete Form B to confirm the mare was in the state for at least 180 days based on the start date filed earlier in the year on Form A. Upon completion, this form must be mailed or faxed to the Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund with a postmark or fax date no later than thirty (30) days from the ending date of residency period.
