Ron Stokley, 81, dies

Columbus, OH — Ron Stokley, 81, of Lebanon, Ohio, died Nov. 29, 2016, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 3, 1935, in Middletown, Ohio, the son of the late Albert French and Viola (Foley) Stokley. Mr. Stokley attended the University of Florida on a full football and basketball scholarship.

He was an employee of ARMCO with eight years of service and was also a Standardbred trainer for 25 years.

Mr. Stokley and his wife managed the Treasure’s Dust Antique Store in Lebanon for 10 years.

He was inducted into the Middletown High School Hall of Fame and also enjoyed antiquing and golfing and was a huge sports fan.

He is survived by a son, Scott (Kristi); daughters, Cindy (Larry) Tinch and Kristi Lambert; grandchildren, Jodie, Jamie, Tara and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Hayden, Hallie, Hunter, Brycedon, Bella, Blake, Austin, Logan, Paisley, Dallas and Wyatt; and sisters, Cora Sue Bell and Kathy Boles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo, in 1998; and his brother, Eddie.
