Columbus, OH — Rosanne Owens, 60, of Greenville, Ohio, and formerly of Oakhurst, N.J., died Dec. 7, 2020, at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

Rosanne Owens died Dec. 7, 2020.

She was born Feb. 8, 1960, in Newark, N.J., and the daughter of the late Michael Cesare and Marie (Maglione) “DeSantis” Avallone as well as her stepfather, Frank DeSantis.

Mrs. Owens was employed as a professional assistant at the Adams Physical Therapy Services of Winchester, Ind., and had been employed for 19 years in the same capacity at Professional Orthopedic Associates of Tinton Falls, N.J.

Also with her husband, Mel, she was very active in Standardbred racing as a member of the U.S. Trotting Association.

She is survived by her husband, Mel (they were married May 31, 2008); children, Michael (Jacki) Bruno and Nicole (Robert) Roselle; grandchildren, Bobby Roselle, Gianna Roselle, Tyler Bruno, Joey Bruno and Julia Bruno; brother, Michael (Maria) Avallone; sister, Angela Beane; half-brother, Cesare Avallone; half-sister, Melissa (Steven) Zyskowski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

At the request of the family, there will be no funeral services planned at this time.
