RUS qualifier at the Meadowlands on July 4

from Monte America

Those wishing to qualify a horse for the preliminary leg of the Hambletonian Monte Trot late closing series, slated for July 18 at the Meadowlands, will have one more chance to do so.

The Meadowlands has announced that a Racing Under Saddle qualifier will be held on Friday (July 4) if two or more horses are entered to qualify under saddle. Entries for the RUS qualifier will be taken by the race office and the box schedule will be the same as for all qualifiers.

Horsemen are reminded that a qualifying time of 2:05 on a mile or larger track, 2:07 on a five-eighths or 2:09 on a half is required to be eligible for the series. All riders must be currently licensed as a RUS rider with either the USTA or Standardbred Canada and all horses must have lifetime eligibility on RUS-Trot.

Full conditions for the series can be found at this link.
