Scuola Hanover is the best at Dover on Wednesday night

Dover, DE – Scuola Hanover captures the Mares Winners Over/Select Pace at Dover Downs on Wednesday(March 17). At the start of the race, Ross Wolfenden catapulted My Kiwi Lady N to the front. She set fractions of :28.2 to the quarter. Wolfenden backed the half off in :57.2. It was a pedestrian :29.2 for this class.

Scuola Hanover, the 4/5 race favorite, and driver Art Stafford Jr. moved off the rail from fourth and accelerated the pace. They attacked first-over and pressured My Kiwi Lady N to the three-quarters in 1:24.2. The ladies paced the third quarter in :27.2.

At the top of the lane, Scuola Hanover wore down the leader My Kiwi Lady N and won by a length and three-quarters in 1:51.1. Scuola Hanover paced a last half in :53.4. She was sent off as the 4/5 race favorite.

Scuola Hanover is owned by Art Stafford, Andrew Stafford and Thomas Ireland. Players only had to identify owner Tom Ireland as a great hunch play on St. Patrick’s Day.

Trainer Andrew Stafford, when asked about Scuola Hanover’s trip, stated “ She loves to work and is real sharp right now”. Andrew Stafford’s brother Art Stafford Jr. drove.

Sassa’s Sister finished a fast closing second for 87-year-old trainer Jim Porter. Tim Tetrick was in the bike. My Kiwi Lady N, the pacesetter finished third for trainer Chris Scicluna.
