Second Leg of Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund at Dover

Dover, DE – The second leg of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund kicked off Monday (Nov. 18) afternoon at Dover series under a cloudy sky threatening rain but a mild temp and swift track surface.

Bebop On The Block (Gambler’s Dream-Seboomook Mao) repeated last week in a wire to wire score by 3-1/2 lengths in a new lifetime mark in 1:54.2 for driver, Dexter Dunn and trainer Josh Green.  Owners are mother and son, Debbie and Brendan Cook of Hartly and the breeder is Garnet W O’Marrow of Bridgeville. Aidan was second and Elite Retreat was third.

In the second division, American Nitro (Badlands Nitro-Jet America), the Harrington final winner cut a mile in 1:55 for driver Victor Kirby and trainer, Les Givens to defeat last week’s winner, Leonard’s Legacy who was second followed by Undercovershamrock in third. American Nitro is owned by Henry Faragalli,III, Art Feeney, Daniel Doane, and Nanticoke Racing,Inc.  Bred by Winbak Farm.

The Top-Eight point getters will race in a $100K final on Wednesday, November 27th.

The DSBF continues tomorrow (Nov. 19) night with the 2-year-old trotters in two early non-wagering races and the Daily Double. Regular Post Time is 4:30 p.m.
