Snowmoon wins for third time in Buckeye Stallion Series

Grove City, OH — Eldorado Scioto Downs hosted the fourth leg of the 3-year-old colt pacers in the Buckeye Stallion Series Saturday night (Aug. 29). The program featured four divisions, with a $17,500 purse in each.

Snowmoon picked up his third BSS win of the year, while Ubuntu scored for his second series win.

Snowmoon, the Mr Wiggles out of Milky Way Hanover gelding, left from post five and went wire-to-wire to win by a length for driver Tyler Smith and owner-trainer Jessica Smith in 1:53.3. Elite Machine with Brady Brown finished second while Mingo Joel driven by Jeremy Smith was third. Snowmoon is now 7 for 12 this season.

Ubuntu, with Dan Noble for Christi Noble, picked up his second win of the series going right to the top from post one to win by a nose in 1:53.4 over the fast closing Wigglemejiggleme and Chris Page. Aim For Glory with Brett Miller finished third. Ubuntu, the gelded son of Pet Rock, is owned by Norman Rae Racing and picked up his sixth win in 11 starts this season.

Epic Ace came home the fastest with a 1:51.4 effort with Chris Page for Mike Polhamus and owners Constance Polhamus, Matthew Newberry, and Pamela Horvath. The Western Vintage-Golden Ace gelding got his first win of the season, winning by four lengths over Daenerys Dream with Dan Noble, while Isowantapetrock handled by Dexter Dunn finished third.

Page picked up his second winning drive of the night with Opportune Hanover. Page guided the Ron Burke trained Dragon Again gelding to his first BSS win in 1:53.4. Opportune Hanover is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi and J&T Silva-Purnel & Libby. Bargain Shopper with Dan Noble was second and My Name Is Hairy finished third for Austin Hanners.
