Vernon, NY — Beyond Kronos (Dylan Huckabone-Miller), Sheer Talent (Justin Huckabone), and Badix Hanover (Leon Bailey) all captured the tri-features at Vernon Downs on Friday (May 7).

Beyond Kronos ($4.60) breezed to an easy win in the $5,000 featured trot.

Beyond Kronos jumps out of the gate and led to the first quarter in :27.4.  Used a :28.4 second quarter to lead to the half in :56.3.  As they headed around the final turn Frisky Joe (Truman Gale) was the first to make a move as Beyond Kronos led to three-quarters in 1:25.2.

As they made the turn for home Beyond Kronos shook free and won easily in 1:55.3.  Bet Big On Blue (Leon Bailey) made a late bid to finish second.  Cash N Chrome (John MacDonald) was third best.

All the action came in the stretch.  Under The Bus (Truman Gale) came first-over while Purameri, who had plenty of horse, but nowhere to go.  Purameri squeezed her way through a tight opening and went to the front.  However, she interfered with Under The Bus in deep stretch and Sheer Talent was awarded the victory.  Unusual Clarity (Ron Harp) came flying late finished third and place second.  Under The Bus was fourth and placed third.

Badix Hanover led to the stretch and was challenged by Lucky Nadotremblay (Shawn McDonough) from the inside and Napper Tandy (Jimmy Whittemore) from the outside but in the end Badix Hanover was too strong and won in 1:53.1.  Lucky Nadotremblay finished second while Napper Tandy had to settle for third.
