SRF open event on May 18

Cream Ridge, NJ — The Standardbred Retirement Foundation (SRF) invites all to a great few hours of sheer enjoyment. This event will allow attendees to meet the new foal born to SRF, taste Craft Beer, and Wine and meet 65 of its adoptable horses. The Meet and Greet on Saturday (May 18) from 3 pm to 5 pm is at 42 Arneytown-Hornerstown Rd., Cream Ridge, N.J., where the farm is located.

Sample craft beers, and wine while meeting a great selection of horses looking for their forever homes. Many will be shown under saddle in both Western and English disciplines with our trainer and volunteers, and meet the little, fuzzy nose of the foal whose mom came to us in need of a place to have her baby. More than 65 horses are available to visit, and staff will be on hand to answer questions regarding adoption, fostering, the organization, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities and information regarding horse sponsorship. Volunteer riders are needed for the event as well.

Adoption applications must be approved before to secure a horse available for adoption that you may fall in love with at the event. The foal may also be available for a home when weaned in the near future. Most horses are not on the website, they are often adopted before they are posted, but they will be on hand to meet. Visit our Facebook page the morning of the event to check for any weather related date changes.
