Stallion breedings still available to support Museum

from the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame

Goshen, NY — The Harness Racing Museum thanks all donors and bidders for a successful 2007 Stallion Breeding Auction. Over 50 stallion breedings were donated to the Museum with the majority receiving successful bids by the deadline of February 17. Breedings not receiving appropriate bids are still available.

Breeding bids are invited for stallions standing their first season — World Champion Ponder, 2004 Old Oaken Bucket and stakes winner Coventry, and stakes winners American Mike and Upalazyriver.

Along with Ponder, Pennsylvania offers pacers Allamerican Ingot, Arturo, Dragon’s Lair and Magical Mike. Donerail and Super Vintage will interest breeders of trotting mares.

Pacing stallions in New York are Misfit, Noble Ability, Pacific Fella and Totally Western. Trotters American Mike and Majestic Victory are also available in the Empire State.

Kentucky is represented by Hall of Famer Jate Lobell and the trotting newcomer Upalazyriver.

Michigan offers first season trotter Coventry and Davanti.

In Delaware, Powerful Toy and in Ohio, Cam’s Magic Trick are available, while pacer Million Dollar Cam and trotter Mac’s Crown K are available in Ontario, Canada.

If any of the stallions listed fit into your breeding agenda and you have not booked your mare, or if you have a breeding to donate to this ongoing important fundraiser, please contact Joanne Young for additional information at (845) 294-6330, fax (845) 294-3463 or by email at hrmdev@frontiernet.net.

Updates are regularly posted on the museum’s Web site at www.harnessmuseum.com.

Proceeds from this important fundraising effort support the mission of the museum to protect the sport’s precious memories, and encourage interest in its current activities. More than 25,000 people came to the museum last year to learn about harness racing’s finest times and over 300,000 to date have seen the museum’s ongoing travelling exhibit, “The Story of Harness Racing By Currier & Ives.” Invest in the institution’s future by participating in this important fundraising event.
