by Debbie Guiles Schiff, for Ohio Standardbreds & Friends

Kingston, OH — On Thursday (July 21) there will be 14 Standardbreds traveling to the Kentucky Horse Park to represent the breed at Breyerfest 2016.

Ohio Standardbreds & Friends have selected the following horses to participate:

Allamerican Legacy – In Harness
Stud’s Hooligan – Jumping
Today’s Success – Dressage
Senator Sahbra – Gaited Western
Bella Americana – Saddleseat
Investor – Dressage/English Pleasure
Silver Match – Saddleseat
Powerlifter – Trail
Moonlight Fantasy – polocross
Lace N Ribbons – polocross
Norma Jean Ryder – English Pleasure
Guns & Roses – Speed Racking
Moonie Von Toonie – Speed Racking
Cams Best In Motion – Speed Pacing

These horses will participate in demos each day in the indoor Arabian Arena at the Horse Park in front of crowds estimated to be in the thousands again this year. Several of these horses participated last year in extremely hot and humid weather without complaint, so much so that the demo facilitator commented on their behavior and asked them back without hesitation for 2016.

The group is excited for the opportunity to showcase the Standardbred for their versatility, attitudes and willingness to do whatever is asked of them. These horses truly are wonderful ambassadors for the breed.

The Mission of Ohio Standardbreds & Friends is to promote the Standardbred during and after their racing careers. For more information about up-coming events please check out their Facebook page under Ohio Standardbreds and Friends.
