Dayton, OH — The stars were perfectly aligned at Hollywood Dayton Raceway on Saturday night (Sept. 26) for the winner of the featured $15,500 Open Pace, Stars Align A.

Driver Dan Noble put the mild favorite on the point throughout the 1:50 mile, posting fractions of :26.1, :54.1 and 1:21.3 before holding off a cavalry charge of classy opponents. Fan Of Terror (Brett Miller) slipped through along the pylons to grab the place position and Bllack Hole (Brendan Johnson) flew in the stretch to finish third from an outside starting position.

Stars Align A is owned by D Racing Stable, Yves Sarrazin and Bruce Soulsby. Trained by Noble’s wife Christi, the 7-year-old son of Art Major increased his seasonal bounty to $76,605 with his sixth win in 18 starts.

Excitement is building at Hollywood Dayton for next Saturday’s marquee events night featuring three Dayton Derbies for purses of at least $175,000. Many of the sport’s best older Grand Circuit pacers and trotters are expected.

The undercard will feature eight $60,000 Buckeye Stallion Series championships showcasing top Ohio-sired freshman and sophomore trotter and pacers.

There will also be three $25,000 (min.) Open-Invitational races for male pacers, female pacers and trotters. Interested parties should contact Race Secretary Gregg Keidel at 937.235.7859 in advance of the box closing at 10 a.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 29).
