Columbus, OH — Terry R. Altmeyer, 56, of Kittanning, Pa., passed away on Monday (Dec. 17) at his residence.

He was born on June 27, 1962 to William and Ruth (Wissinger) Altmeyer in Indiana, PA. Terry worked as an entrepreneur and was a long-time owner, trainer and driver racing at The Meadows, Northfield Park and the Pennsylvania and Ohio fair circuits.

He also loved listening to The Ramones.

Terry is survived by his wife Laura (Schoeffel) Altmeyer; mother Ruth Altmeyer; son Tyler (Amanda) Altmeyer; daughter Megan (Ken Oiler) Altmeyer; granddaughter Allison Altmeyer; four brothers, William E. Altmeyer, Jr., Daniel J. Altmeyer, Robert M. Altmeyer and Thomas E. Altmeyer; step-son Nicholas Johnston; step-daughter Katie (Jory) Melik; step-grandsons, Bryce and Maximus Melik; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father William E. Altmeyer, Sr.

Visitation will be held Thursday (Dec. 20) from 5-8 p.m. at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA. The funeral service will immediately follow at 8 p.m.
