Field for the Paralympic Trot takes shape

The field for The Paralympic Trot at Aby Travet Saturday (May 8) takes shape – the race is the first Group 1- race in 2021  in Sweden and has a purse for the winner of 175,000 dollars.

After Who’s Who with Ôrjan Kihlström won the Gold division at Bergsaker Saturday (April 17th) is seven trotters now ready.

Gelati Cut and Delia du Pommereux of France

Ecurie D of Norway

Elian Web of Finland – invited as the winner of the race last year.

The French 5-year old Gelati Ice raced Saturday at Vincennes finishing second to Gu d’Heripre in a Group II-race.

On the same card at Vincennes, the 8-year old chestnut gelding, Dorgos de Guez with trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire was an easy winner of a Group III-race and won victory number 31 from 66 races.

After the race, Bazire revealed, that Dorgos de Guez would go to the Elitlopp in Stockholm if invited. Jos. Verbeeck would be the driver.

In Finland, the Seinäjoki race with a purse for the winner of 85,000 dollars was won by the Swedish mare, Dear Friend with trainer/driver Johan Untersteiner in the bike.

Heavy Sound with Kenneth Haugstad and Vernissage Grif with Alessandro Gocciadoro was favored to win.

However, Vernissage Grif was unwilling to trot going up behind the gate and Heavy Sound went off stride going into the first bend.
