There was plenty of movement in the race despite the poor weather conditions.

Home’n Dry (Tyler Davis), who left quickly and forced Cruising In Style (Corey Callahan) to settle for the pocket, cut fractions of :27.3 and :57.1 before Faithfulandtrue (Mike Cole) pulled at the half and forced a :28.2 third quarter. Nearing three-quarters in 1:25.3, Royal Becca J (Jack Parker Jr.) angled off the rail and trotted three-wide into the final turn, and Tight Lines (Ross Wolfenden) tipped four-wide.

Royal Becca J and Tight Lines dueled down the line, with 7-5 favorite Tight Lines proving the best in 1:55.1. Royal Becca J finished second; Home’n Dry was third.

Tight Lines, a 7-year-old son of Yankee Glide, is owned by trainer Jeff Gregory with the Jesmeral Stable and William Richardson.

Wiggle It Jiggleit is scheduled to race in the Open/Preferred Pace on Thursday night (Jan. 9). Post time is 4:30 p.m.
