Touchamatic attacks first-over, wins Meadows feature

Washington, PA — Touchamatic moved powerfully first-over and rolled on to a convincing win in Tuesday’s (Aug. 18) feature at The Meadows, a $10,800 fillies and mares conditioned pace.

Touchamatic was away third, and when Aaron Merriman tipped her off the cones, she gobbled up the leader, Amelia’s Courage A, and scored in 1:51.3. Always Giggling rallied from last for second, a half length back, while Camera Lady shot the Lightning Lane for show.

Bill Bercury trains the 6-year-old daughter of American Ideal and Perfect Touch for Renee Bercury. Touchamatic now boasts 33 wins in 100 lifetime starts and earnings of $477,954

Jim Pantaleano collected three wins on the 15-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Wednesday (Aug. 19), when the 15-race program features a $16,576.67 carryover in the final race Super Hi-5 and an $853.81 carryover in the Early Pick-5 (race two). First post is 12:45 p.m.
