Delaware, OH — Treasure Gems K and driver Chris Page won Wednesday’s (Sept. 23) $43,506 Standardbred Stakes for 2-year-old female trotters by a head over Just Joshing in 1:59 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in central Ohio. Queen Of All finished third.

Queen Of All, the 8-5 favorite, set the tempo through the first three quarters of the race, with fractions of :28.3, :59, and 1:28.4. Treasure Gems K was third at the half, but already on the move on the outside and grabbed the lead coming off the last turn before holding off a charging Just Joshing at the wire.

Paul Reid trains Treasure Gems K for breeder/owner Robert Key. The win was the filly’s first to go with three seconds and two thirds in seven starts. A daughter of Encore Encore out of Treasure Bank, she has won $43,428.
