Update on Jacqueline Ingrassia

Allentown, NJ — Harness racing driver Jacqueline Ingrassia was expected to be released from the hospital Monday (June 17) following treatment for injuries suffered in an accident while training last Thursday at White Birch Farm in New Jersey, Ingrassia’s husband Frank said today.

Ingrassia’s injuries included two broken wrists, a broken finger, and bleeding on the brain and liver.

The 72-year-old Ingrassia, who is a member of the U.S. Trotting Association’s Board of Directors, representing District 12/New Jersey, had casts put on both wrists but did not require surgery. Ingrassia, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, remained hospitalized over the weekend for observation, Frank said. He added the couple was extremely appreciative of the outpouring of support and well wishes in the days following the accident.
