USTA and PFERA form partnership to support breeders

Kitchener, ON — PFERA Inc. is pleased to announce the formation of a new partnership with the United States Trotting Association to support Standardbred breeders in the United States.

PFERA’s relationship with the USTA first began when its CEO, Lisa Pfister, was introduced to USTA Chief Operating Officer and Director of Registry, TC Lane, through a mutual horse enthusiast and writer, Howie Trainor.

Following the introduction, in March 2018 Pfister was invited to present PFERA’s broodmare software and research in foaling prediction at the USTA Board of Directors meeting. This opportunity sparked a conversation regarding a potential partnership in the future.

Since the official launch of the FoalPoint software this past fall, PFERA has been eager to form an official partnership with the USTA to give Standardbred breeders an edge. We were happy to discover that PFERA and the USTA had a mutual objective of bringing innovative technology to breeding farms.

“The USTA is very pleased to partner with Lisa and the entire PFERA team,” said Lane. “Being able to provide added value to our membership is a continued effort within our organization, and this relationship brings just that to the table. The great thing about FoalPoint beyond the deep discount for current USTA members, is that it provides a simplistic scientific approach for all breeding farm sizes, large or small.”

The FoalPoint system was created to help breeders manage their broodmares year round. It is designed to improve breeding accuracy, track cycles, provide broodmare analytics and improve efficiency and organization around the farm.

The FoalPoint Scanner (coming soon) tells you ahead of time when your mare will foal using research backed algorithms. Through this partnership, FoalPoint is now available with significant benefits to USTA members and we look forward to a long relationship with the USTA and Standardbred breeders.

Anyone can begin putting their mares on FoalPoint by visiting www.foalpoint.com, but to access USTA member benefits, get in touch with us through social media or send us an email at info@pfera.ca to receive your coupon code to enter upon subscribing.
