Van Wert Fair features the Signature Series

Van Wert, Ohio — It was a big night night in Van Wert for the Signature Series as the Harvest Trot and the Peony Pace were held.

After the dust had settled, Tattler’s Jet had regained the SS Pace lead with a third place finish in the Peony Pace. The race was won by first time Series participant Marty Dot Com, driven by Trent Bates in 1:58.3, and following right behind with the same time
was Youarecorrectsir, driven by Brandon Bates.

Two divisions of the Harvest Trot were held with Calico Cat taking first in the opening division with a time of 2:03, driven by Greg Bateson. In the second division, Horby Hunter came home in 2:02.3 and was driven by owner/driver Ned Hodkinson.

SS Trot leader Sugar Free came in fourth in the first division to take the series lead over One Final Time by two points and by three points over That’s George. One Final Time was fourth in the second division and former Trot leader That’s George did not compete.
