Columbus, OH — Virginia Ruth Buxton, 91, of Urbana, Ohio, died Nov. 30, 2019, at Hearth and Home Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 10, 1928, to the late Charles W. and Edith H. (Lewis) Hurps in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard; daughter, Bridget Ann; and seven siblings. She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory her children, Mary Beth (Fred E.) Henry, Bradley (JoEllen) and Branch; grandchildren, Isaac Henry, Elizabeth (John) Wing, Emmaline (Alex) Burnett, and Breck; and great-grandchildren, Jack Wing, Amelia Wing and Xander Burnett.

She was devoted to her faith and was a member of Epiphany Episcopal Church. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and enjoyed her time with TWIG 13 at Mercy Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday (Dec. 4) at Noon at Epiphany Episcopal Church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Grandview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PAWS, CTS, Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton or Epiphany Episcopal Church.
