Wagner scores seven times at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — In the long history of Rosecroft Raceway, few, if any, have won more races than John Wagner. Wednesday night (Feb. 19), the 63-year-old Wagner put together a card for the ages, winning seven races, including five for trainer Arlene Cameron.

Blue Fox ($5.00), Caviart Emma ($5.80), Chillicothe ($4.00), and Stonebridge Pearl ($14.00), are all owned by Wagner. A win with trotter K J Charlie ($8.40) came for Scott Woogen and Pamela Wagner.

Wagner scored with Miss Giggles ($5.80) for Breakaway Racing and trainer Shaun Callahan. In the final race of the night, Wagner left from post nine with Camturo Beach ($22.20) and tucked in third. He then brushed the Katie Flaherty trainee for Eugene Robinson down the backside and won by 3-1/2 lengths.

Jonathan Roberts had a double, winning with Busy Doing Nothing ($13.80) for Ken Weckstein and trainer Ken Schlotzhauer. Roberts’ second win came for trainer Toni Freitas with Sweet Lullaby ($3.80) for Jordanna Roman.
