Northfield, OH — Northfield Park is offering a mandatory payout of the 20-cent Northfield Single 6 wager on Wednesday (June 3).

Normally the Single 6 jackpot can be won only by the holder of a unique winning combination that selects the winners of races 9 through 14, but the mandatory payout provision on June 3 will award all winning tickets an equal share of the Single 6 pool.

Beginning in the ninth race, the 20-cent Northfield Single 6 features a $20,000 total pool guarantee (including the $7,096 carryover).

This wager is being offered as part of the Strategic Wagering Program through the United States Trotting Association.

Northfield’s Pick-5, Pick-4s, Pick-3s, 20-cent Super High Five and 20-cent Northfield Single 6 offer a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent.

The 20-cent Northfield Single 6 will be discontinued after the Wednesday (June 3) card. A conventional (non-jackpot) Pick-6 wager will take its place on Northfield’s wagering menu in the coming weeks.
