Woodbine announces 2019-20 Winter Series

Milton, ON — Woodbine Mohawk Park has unveiled its 2019-20 Winter Series Late Closer lineup, consisting of six events over the months of December, January and February.

This year’s Winter Series includes the returning Niagara, Valedictory, Blizzard and Snowshoe, plus the additions of the new Wine & Roses and Pepsi Series.

The Niagara and Valedictory Series for 3-year-old pacers will take place over the month of December, concluding on the annual Boxing Day matinee program. The other four series will be held in the New Year, offering racing opportunities for 3- and 4-year-old pacers and trotters.

Each series will consist of two C$17,000 guaranteed preliminary legs and a C$30,000 added money final.

Nominations close on Monday (Dec. 2).

The nomination fee for each event is C$200 (US$165).

Niagara
3-Year-Old Pacing Fillies in 2019, Non-Winners of C$60,000 lifetime as of midnight Oct. 31, 2019. No allowances.

Valedictory
3-Year-Old Pacing Colts & Geldings in 2019, Non-Winners of C$60,000 lifetime as of midnight Oct. 31, 2019. No allowances.

Blizzard
3 & 4-Year-Old Pacing Fillies & Mares in 2020, Non-Winners of 2 Races or C$30,000 lifetime as of midnight Oct. 31, 2019. No allowances.

Snowshoe
3 & 4-Year-Old Pacing Colts & Geldings in 2020, Non-Winners of 2 Races or C$30,000 lifetime as of midnight Oct. 31, 2019. No allowances.

Wine & Roses
3 & 4-Year-Old Trotting Fillies & Mares in 2020, Non-Winners of C$60,000 lifetime as of midnight Oct. 31, 2019. No allowances.

Pepsi
3 & 4-Year-Old Trotting Colts, Horses & Geldings, Non-Winners of C$60,0000 lifetime as of midnight Oct. 31, 2019. No allowances.
