2017 National Standardbred Horse Show information

from the SPHO-NJ

The Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organization of New Jersey (SPHO-NJ) and The Standarbred Breeders & Owners Association of New Jersey (SBOANJ) proudly present the 23rd annual National Standardbred Horse Show on Aug. 12 and Aug. 13. In our 23rd year we are pleased to announce we are offering 90 Standardbred only classes.

New for 2017 is the Gaited Division sponsored by: Chesapeake Stables in Lebanon, Ohio, Stickhorse Rodeo sponsored by Suzanne D’Ambrose and the Pacing for the Cure In Hand Trail Class sponsored in memory of Bill Weaver.

The Gaited Division is a division we were contacted to offer and our goal for this show is to promote the versatility of the breed. The Stickhorse Rodeo is an idea we got for the younger ones not ready to show. We saw it at another show and it was a hit, this class will replace our leadline class.

The Pacing for the Cure In Hand Trail Class was an idea we came up with to give back to the community and the Standardbred Industry. All entries fees collected for this class will be donated to Pacing for the Cure to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis.

Please visit www.pacingforthecure.org for more information.

The winner of this class will receive a custom belt buckle, $200 cash and much more.

We encourage everyone to pre-enter by July 26 to save money and time in the office line.

Please visit www.sphonj.org or our Facebook page for more information and show updates.
