2020 Adios champion Catch The Fire is sold

Columbus, OH — The owners of Catch The Fire are excited to announce they’ve sold the stallion and he is now owned by Black Magic Racing of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, with the original owner, CT Stables, keeping a portion of the horse as well.

This purchase was part of a multi-horse package to acquire multiple Grand Circuit horses including Catch The Fire’s 3-year-old brother, Captains Place, who is now owned by Black Magic Racing.

As originally planned, Catch The Fire is standing stud this year at Sugar Valley Farm and will also race, being conditioned by Todd Luther.

“I’m honored to be involved with a horse that won the Adios against some of the toughest competition we’ve ever seen in our sport,” said Greg Luther of Black Magic Racing. “I’m excited to race him this summer and I’ll be supporting him personally with some of the best broodmares we can purchase in America. I’m also incredibly excited about his 3-year-old brother Captains Place. I own over 50 racehorses and Catch The Fire is the only one I have a partner on so I’m excited to enjoy the racing season with fellow owner Charles Taylor of CT Stables.”
