Age is not a problem for 13-year-old Danish trotter O’Grady (sired by SJ’s Photo), who stole the show from the main event, the Copenhagen Cup, at Charlottenlund, Denmark on Sunday afternoon (May 12).

O’Grady won the Charlottenlund Open in 1:54f. Burt Seeger photo.

O’Grady, driven by Kasper K. Andersen, won the mile race, Charlottenlund Open, in 1:54f — the fastest race on the day.

The Menhammar Copenhagen Cup (raced over the 1-1/4 mile distance) was won by Handsome Hank (sired by Brad de Veluwe), followed by Cyber Lane, who won the race last year, and Generaal Biance.

Handsome Hank, who won by two lengths in 1:54.4f (mile rate) was handed an invitation to the Elitlopp after the race.

The purse for the winner of the Copenhagen Cup was $56,500.
