Northfield, OH — MGM Northfield Park’s premier event of the season, the $300,000 Carl Milstein Memorial for 3-year-old pacers, goes to the gate Saturday (Aug. 13) as the anchor leg (race 10) of a $20,000 guaranteed all stakes Pick-5.

The sequence starts with a pair of $55,000 divisions of the Ohio Sires Stakes for 3-year-old colt trotters (races six and seven) and includes two $100,000 invitationals for top veteran Ohio-sired campaigners.

The Tom Aldrich President’s Trot (race eight) is a battle of the sexes, headlined by top stakes stalwart It’s Academic, a winner of $938,046 in his career, versus two top mares from the barn of trainer Virgil Morgan Jr. — 2021 Ohio Sires Stakes champion Herculisa and Open campaigner Refined.
