Saratoga Springs, NY — Arizona’s 1:56.1 win in Tuesday’s (Feb. 18) $15,000 distaff pacing feature at Saratoga Casino Hotel was the centerpiece of a five-win afternoon for trainer Melissa Beckwith and driver Brett Beckwith.
Last year’s Filly and Mare Pacer of the Year at Saratoga, Arizona returned to action on Feb. 12 with a third-place finish. In Tuesday’s effort, Brett Beckwith moved 2-5 favorite Arizona to the front past the opening quarter, and the pair never looked back, coasting to a measured one-length victory over pocket rival Always Watching. Last week’s Open winner, Alittlesidehustl N, closed to finish third.
