Bettingfra springs 32-1 shocker in Meadows feature

Washington, PA — Trailing by 7-1/2 lengths at the half, Bettingfra and driver Drew Monti followed live cover then roared through the lane to spring a 32-1 upset in Thursday’s (May 25) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, an $11,800 conditioned pace for fillies and mares.

Once 1-5 favorite Windsun Tiara broke stride early, the race was up for grabs, with long shots Four Wide N Flyin (16-1) and Bettingfra trying to take advantage. Four Wide N Flyin grabbed the lead first-up, but the escort service she provided Bettingfra proved decisive. The 4-year-old daughter of Betting Line-Ms Caila J Fra found the wire just in time to edge Four Wide N Flyin by a nose in 1:54.3, with Stay Happy third.
