Biggest Pick 4 carryover kicks off Pace Week

from the Meadowlands Publicity Department

East Rutherford, NJ — The biggest Pick 4 carryover in Meadowlands history kicks off a week rich in opportunities for bettors.

The Wednesday night (July 11) card features a $47,935 carryover for the Pick 4, which begins with race six on the card. Post time is 7:30 p.m.

Mister Big‘s 15-1 upset in the $650,000 William R. Haughton Memorial and Running Book’s 40-1 shocker in the Meadowlands Pace eliminations last Saturday provided big scores for their connections and produced a big opportunity for Meadowlands bettors heading into Wednesday’s card.

Fans will have a shot at taking down another large Pick 4 pool this Saturday, July 14. The Pick 4 is guaranteed at $100,000 on Meadowlands Pace Night, with the track’s $1 million signature event as the third leg.

The Pick 4 features a 15 percent takeout, one of the lowest in the industry. The average Pick 4 pool at the Meadowlands has been more than $54,000 this year, while the average payoff is more than $2,700 for a $1 wager. There have been 50 out of 105 Pick 4 wagers this meet that have paid more than $1,000 for $1. The top three highest payouts this meet are: $37,225.70 – Feb. 15; $36,409.70 – June 13; and $19,155.00 – Jan. 20.
