The first race saw the previously undefeated Big Al M and Eric Davis cut the mile, only to be passed in the line by Blue Devil and driver Montrell Teague in 1:57.1. It was a new lifetime mark for the Anders Bluestone-Overnight Hit gelding, whom Adrian Wisher trains, Elite Harness Racing LLC owns, and Art Stafford Jr. bred.

In race two, Rhett got away third, assumed command in front of the grandstand, and led to the wire in 1:59.1 in rein to Corey Callahan. Someofmygoodtime was second, followed by Marvin B Swift. Trainer Don Wiest bred Rhett, a Keystone Activator-Lake Serena gelding, and shares ownership with his son David.
