Lexington, KY — The Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale concluded on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 20) in Indianapolis, Ind. with two horses selling for six-figure prices in the second session.

Hip No. 302, Bluebird Keepsake, a filly by Swan For All, was purchased by horseman Dan Shetler, acting as agent, with a bid of $125,000. Consigned by Bluebird Meadows, the filly is the first foal of the Yankee Glide mare Changed It All, whose second dam is the accomplished two-time Breeders Crown champion Armbro Keepsake.

The very next horse in the ring also lit up the bid board, this time at $100,000. The Kales Company of Michigan bought Hip No. 303, a colt by rookie trotting sire Whom Shall I Fear. The colt is out of the Pine Chip mare Chips Goddess, the dam of five winners from seven foals, led by Meadowbrook Grace, a 2017 Indiana champion.

In Friday’s (Oct. 19) opening session, the top price was $80,000 for Hip No. 130, a full sister to Rock N Tony, a 2017 Breeders Crown 3-Year-Old Colt Pace elimination winner and Indiana champion. Don Robinson signed the sales slip on behalf of the Brian Brown.
