Madison, WI — The Wisconsin Harness Horse Association is proud to announce its second Hall of Fame inductee for the Class of 2023. Bringoverthemoney, a lifelong trainee of Cadot, Wis. will be inducted at the Jan. 27 event in Madison, Wis.

Bringoverthemoney (a.k.a. “Scoobie”) has been in the Horvat Stable from before he was born. Katrina Horvat, of Cadott, Wis., purchased the broodmare Bringitover in December 2013. She went on to breed her to Money Talks in the spring of 2014. The following year, Scoobie was born and has been a part of the Horvat Stable ever since.
Katie, along with her husband Joshua and daughter Jasmine, broke him as a yearling and raced him as a 2-year-old, making an appearance at the Barron County Fair in Rice Lake, Wis., finishing third and fourth. That year he went on to finish second in the Minnesota bred championship final.
He came back as a 3- and 4-year-old, again finishing second in both championships. It wasn’t until he was a 5-year-old when he shed the bridesmaid stereotype and won the Minnesota Bred Aged Trot Championship. From there it is all history as he ran off four consecutive championships at Running Aces. Quite the feat for a homebred in Wisconsin!
Bringoverthemoney has never raced outside of Wisconsin and Minnesota, even though there were options to sell and go for bigger money. The Horvats stayed true to their roots and kept the horse in Wisconsin and continued to support Wisconsin racing with him. He has raced (or attempted to admit rainouts) for five years at the Baron County Fair in Rice Lake. He won four of his six heats there — twice winning the Jay Eye See Traveling Trophy for the fastest trotter in the state.
Few horses have been bred, born, raised and trained for their entire lives in Wisconsin while achieving the success as Bringoverthemoney has.
