Mt. Sterling, IL — Live harness racing returns to the Brown County Fair on Aug. 4 and 5 in Mt. Sterling, Ill. First post both days is 2 p.m. (CDT).
WVIL 101.3 FM will broadcast all of the racing both days. Racing fans can listen to all of the great racing action via WVIL 101.3 FM’s website.
The highlight of this years fair will be Sunday afternoon’s (Aug. 5) Illinois Stallion Stakes for Illinois conceived and foaled 2-year-olds. The state’s best 2-year-olds will compete for over $50,000 in purse money on Sunday.
The Brown County Fair is once again the only county fair in Illinois to offer pari-mutuel wagering.
