Hamburg, NY — Buffalo Raceway officials were forced to cancel the Friday night (Jan. 26) program due to a shortage of entries.
They have also been approved for the cancellation of racing on Friday (Feb. 2) and Friday (Feb. 9), adding to the Friday cancellation this week.
The next scheduled day of racing on a Friday is Feb. 16, and will be contingent on the draw conducted Tuesday morning (Feb. 13). Hopefully, the horse shortage will have improved by then.
Harness racing will continue with a Wednesday/Saturday race schedule until that time. Racing will be held as scheduled on Wednesday evening (Jan. 24) with an 11-race card starting at 5 p.m. while action is slated to resume on Saturday (Jan. 27) with a 6 p.m. post.
