Washington, PA — Dismissed at 19-1, Call To Post barreled through the lane after a ground-saving trip to pull off the stunning upset in Monday’s (May 18) $20,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.
Doug Snyder didn’t call on Call To Post until the top of the stretch, when he angled the 6-year-old Tom Ridge-Poster Princess gelding off the cones. Once he saw racetrack, Call To Post rushed past the leader, Trustworthy Kid, and downed him by a length in 1:53.3, matching his lifetime best. The first-over Daylon Miracle was third.
Dane Snyder trains Call To Post, who extended his career bankroll to $215,869, for Danielle Snyder.
Mike Wilder piloted three winners on the 14-race card.
