Cokstile first in Finland, ready for Elitlopp

Helsinki, Finland — The Norwegian-born and Italian-owned Cokstile convincingly won the one-mile Finlandia-Ajo, at Vermo, in 1:52 on Sunday afternoon (May 1).

Cokstile, who trotted outside without cover for most of the trip, won by three lengths over Stoletheshow and Gareth Boko. Swedish driver Christoffer Eriksson steered Cokstile to victory — and the €110,000 winner’s share of the purse — for trainer Erik Bondo of Denmark.

The victory earned the 10-year-old trotter his fourth trip to the Elitlopp, a race in which he was promoted to first place in 2020.
