Dan Deslandes wins 1,000th lifetime race at Bangor Raceway

Bangor, ME – With the win by Millwood Faith N in the seventh race at Bangor Raceway earlier today Wednesday (May 5) 28-year-old driver Dan Deslandes won his 1,000th lifetime harness race. The Clifton, Maine resident guided the 11-year-old mare to her third win in four starts this year in a time of 1:59.3.

Deslandes, who won his first harness race at Saratoga Raceway in 2010, also won the tenth race on the card with Love Love Me Do. He is currently second in the Bangor Raceway leading driver standings with 13 wins in 2021, just two behind leader Bruce Ranger.

Live racing returns to Bangor Raceway on May 16 and will continue on a two day a week schedule, Wednesday post-time 3 p.m. and Sunday post-time at 12:15 p.m.) through July 21. Independence Day (July 4) will feature an evening race card and a special post time of 6 p.m. culminating with Bangor’s famous fireworks display over the waterfront.

Admission to the grandstand is free daily. Race programs will be sold at the track starting the day before each race date for $1 each.
