ng, who captured his 50th career victory. It was McIlmurray’s second Open win in as many days.

In the Open 2 Pace, Music is Art got away very well from the gate, pressing Dusto for the early lead and going on by. He faced a few challenges from Jet’s Sureshot and the aforementioned Dusto, but Music is Art was just too good for owners Yinson Quezada and Anette Lorentzon, trainer Mark Headworth, and driver Marc St. Louis Jr.

Danikova took the spoils over the boys in the Open 3 Pace. Fred’s Nightmare, coming off of an impressive qualifier a couple weeks back, burst out to an early lead. Danikova opted to settle early and was pressed by PB’s on Fire, but none were enough to faze the 7-year-old mare as she made her move coming off of the turn and buried the speed for owner-trainer Sam Mignano and driver Jason Merriman.

Northville Downs resumes its Friday and Saturday race schedule next weekend (May 27-28). First race post time remains 7:30 p.m. each night.
