Columbus, OH — Dr. Franklin Lewis Pellegrini, 52, of Mantua, Ohio, died Dec. 22, 2016.
He was born Oct. 9, 1964, in Willoughby, Ohio, to Nina (Keener) and Franklin Pellegrini.
He was a veterinarian who specialized in equine medicine, focusing on race horses. He was affectionately known as “Doc” to friends, and known as Frank and Daddy at home.
Dr. Pellegrini is survived by his mother, Nina Hayhurst; wife, Shannon; and children, Angelina, Gabriella and Anthony. He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin; and his stepfather, Wilford Hayhurst.
Friends will be received Wednesday (Dec. 28) from 4-6 p.m. at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Friends will also be received on Thursday (Dec. 29) from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle, 103 School Rd., Mt. Morris, PA 15349 with Reverend John Jackson and Reverend Fred Tomlinson officiating the funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mt. Morris, Pa.
