Dover, DE — The Delaware Standardbred Owners Association will hold its 21st annual meeting followed by its popular awards dinner on Friday (Jan. 12).
In addition, Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund champions will be honored at the event.
Following the mid-day DSOA horsemen’s meeting, the scene shifts to the Modern Maturity Center in Dover at night with cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.
As usual, with Governor John Carney, Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long, and many Delaware legislators on hand, the 2017 awards program features MC Heather Vitale presenting features from her weekly half-hour harness racing show on WBOC-TV, followed by videos of all the leading winning horses at both Dover Downs and Harrington Raceway during its seasons.
The sixth annual Jim Case Horizon Award will be presented to an emerging star horseman and scholarship awards will be announced.
