Easy win for Etonnant in Belgium

The French trotter Etonnant, who two months ago won the Elitlopp in Stockholm, was an easy winner Sunday afternoon (July 31) in one of the biggest trotting races in Belgium, Grand Prix de Wallonie raced at the track in Mons.

It was just a walk in the park for the Richard Westerink-trained and owned Etonnant (sired by Timoko) with driver Anthony Barrier.

Etonnant won the 1-7/16th mile event in 1:56.4 (mile rate) followed by Italian trotter Vivid Wise As with Matthieu Abrivard and Belgium trotter Cicero Noa with Francis Neirinck.

The purse for the winner was 72,000 Euros.
